update/houston 2011

I haven’t tumbled in a minute.. but i definitely think this is tumblr worthy.

This honestly has been one of the best weeks ive ever had in a very long time. For those who are my closest friends and kno wsup.. you already know how much this week has meant to me. I’ve been waiting for this for YEARS. I honestly was starting to lose hope. My mom always told me to pray.. and i would, and finally it happened. It seemed like a dream. Some people take the smallest things for granted.. or don’t see the value that the little things can provide. It still feels surreal to me.

All of this happened within a span from the 24th to the 28th.  On top of that my mom asked if i wanted to go to houston for the first time. I was so hyped to go, and i really didnt know what to expect.

• Thursday 6/30

On thursday our flight was leaving around 5 so we headed out to the airport around 4. I actually left my house around 3:30pm to go get my check but midway to driving to san jose i turned around because i was probably going to miss my flight if i went to go get it. Its good though, cause i should be saving my money for vegas anyways. We left and got to houston at around 1am. This was the first time that i’ve been to arielle and katrinas house. We went to go get food at steak n shake and rested up for the next day. I havent seen them in about a year so i was juiced to see them.

• Friday 7/1

We woke up and we went to go eat at breakfast club. We had chicken n waffles, and had catfish too. They have weird lemonade. It tastes good, dont get me wrong but it has like a spicy aftertaste. After that we headed out to the galleria.. and damn.. that mall is fucking huuuuuge. It’s bigger than the milpitas great mall and it has an ice rink. dope stuff.  I wanted to buy a hat, and it was funny.. i went all the way to houston to buy a frisco hat that i can buy anywhere in the bay. hahaha. Whatever, i wanted to cop that hat anyways. Headed back to the house to go rest up cause we were going to go out to a lounge. We bought a bottle and headed to arielle and kats friends house sarah to go pregame. We killed that whole liter of liquor in about an hour. ridiculous. The lounge was pretty dead.. but we got that shit crackin with just us 4. I remember flashes of the night.. but i know for sure that i had really good time. I dont even remember going back home :o

• Saturday 7/2

On saturday i woke up and surprisingly i wasnt hung over. Not as much as the other 3 anyways.. aha. We ended going to Kemah which is like a boardwalk an hour or so away from houston.. reminds me of santa cruz. Ate at cadillacs and had bomb ass shrimp quesadillas. We got back and got ready to goto some house party. It was pretty crackin, they had a dj and beerpong. I met Mark Fucanan from soreal and architeks. Hes a cool dude. Supposedly hes heard of aftermath.. crazy right? we played beer pong and won 5 in a row. We cut out at like 4 and had whataburger and just crashed.

• Sunday 7/3

This was my last real day in houston, we went to the beach in galveston.. the weather in houston is so awesome. Im sick of the fog and raining in the summer. We chilled there and brought some beer.. flew our caterpillar kite with wings squiggy. I havent flown a kite since i was 12.  We got back to the house, and got ready to go out one last time. We went to washington which is the equivalent of broadway in the city.. just a whole bunch of bars and lounges in a street. Music at the first bar was pretty coo.. and i had two galvatrons at once.. trying to get me drunk. I was chillin tho. We hit another bar where there was hella people. Music choice was weak. Bought a round of goose for my favorite cousins then it hit 2. There was a taco truck outside and they had some good hot sauce. Met up with some of Arielle and Katrinas friends and we just posted it till 5am. People are really nice out in houston.. so welcoming. I’m not used to it, but its so refreshing from the way people are out here.

Overall it was one of the best trips i have ever taken. Got super close to my cousins and i hella miss them! I can’t wait to head back to houston. Having this great of a trip on top of what happened earlier this week.. i’m on cloud nine. I just wish that i could have stayed longer.. but back to reality. Im still on vacation mode though. I need to snap out of it. That was my week, and i would relive it all over again if i could. Came back to celebrate Leifs  26th birthday and we had a good time. I’m happy to be surrounded with all my homies back in the bay. Its good to be home.
